Is Anxiety Holding Your child Back from Feeling Confident and in Control?

NJ therapist for anxious children & teens

That’s where I come in

It’s upsetting to watch your child spiral into anxiety, self-doubt, and overwhelm— They’re stuck in their head, avoiding friends, and constantly questioning their worth—no matter how much you try to help!

With extensive experience working with children, teens, and families, I understand the unique strengths and challenges that each young person brings to the table. I see the strengths your child has, even when they're hidden beneath layers of anxiety or emotional difficulties, and I know how to work with them in a way that brings out their best qualities.

Therapy isn’t just about coping—it’s about real, lasting change. I create a space where kids and teens feel heard, understood, and empowered to take control of their emotions. Whether it’s learning to manage anxiety, build confidence, or navigate tough moments, I’m here to support them (and you!) every step of the way.

If you’re ready for your child to feel more confident, capable, and in control, let’s get started! You don’t have to do this alone—I’m here to help.

MY APPROACH

I specialize in working with children and teens struggling with anxiety, emotional regulation, and behavioral challenges—what I call “Big Feelings.” Whether it’s anger outbursts, social anxiety, school struggles, or withdrawal, I help kids develop healthy coping skills and build confidence.

Using evidence-based approaches like CBT, DBT, and EMDR therapy for anxiety and trauma, I provide effective, research-backed support tailored to your child’s needs.

But child therapy isn’t just for kids—it’s a team effort! I work closely with parents, offering tools to improve behavior management, communication, and emotional support at home.

If you're looking for child and teen therapy in New Jersey, Florida, or Vermont, I’m here to help. Let’s work together to support your child’s emotional well-being and long-term success!

faq

  • Most therapists meet with your child once a week and focus only on talking through what happened that day. While that can be helpful, it often isn’t enough for kids and teens stuck in cycles of anxiety, low self-worth, or emotional outbursts.

My approach is more hands-on, targeted, and supportive. I use evidence-based tools like EMDR, DBT, and CBT to help your child build real coping skills—not just vent. I also involve parents in the process, so you’re not left wondering what’s going on or how to help at home.

Whether we’re meeting weekly or in a therapy intensive, I’m focused on creating meaningful change—fast.

  • I work with children and teens ages 5–18 who are struggling with anxiety, emotional regulation, low self-esteem, or big life transitions.

I tailor each session to your child’s developmental stage—whether that means using games and creative tools with younger kids or diving into deeper conversations and coping strategies with teens. Therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all, and I make sure it fits your child.

  • Every child is different, but most families start noticing shifts within the first few weeks—like fewer meltdowns, improved mood, or better communication.

I use a goal-focused approach, so we’re always working toward real, visible change. Many of my clients meet their goals and graduate from therapy in 3–6 months. For families who want faster results, I also offer therapy intensives that allow us to dive deeper and make progress more quickly.
