anxiety & self-esteem Therapy For Teens and young adults In florida

If you're someone who feels things deeply and struggles with low confidence, anxiety, or emotional regulation — whether that's you at 17 or you at 27 — you're in the right place for support.

Does this sound familiar:

→ Anxious or wound up enough that ordinary things — homework, replying to texts, getting through a shift, just leaving the house — feel like a lot?

Pulling back from friends, plans, or things that used to actually feel good, without a clear reason why?

Struggling to adjust to change or pressure — a hard class, a new job, a shifting friend group, a move, or something at home that's not settling right

Signs of low mood: persistent sadness, low motivation, or sleep and appetite that aren't what they used to be.

A dip in self-esteem that won't quiet down — thoughts like "I'm not good enough" or "I'm the problem." Despite best efforts — yours, or the people trying to help — the struggle continues.

Picture life with confidence, emotional balance, and a calm sense of self-worth — free from the weight of anxiety.

Is anxiety making it hard to manage your emotions? Is a lack of confidence holding you back — pulling you away from friends, activities, school, or work you used to actually care about? Maybe the moods feel unpredictable. Maybe you look fine from the outside and feel anything but fine on the inside.

Whatever that looks like for you, the goal is the same: to thrive, not just get through the day. My approach helps teens and young adults build real skills to face these struggles head-on. Through tailored techniques like CBT, DBT, and EMDR, I work with each client to create personalized strategies for emotional resilience, confidence, and self-regulation — so managing emotions, improving relationships, and facing what's next feels a lot less like white-knuckling it.

what's a therapy intensive?

Weekly sessions work well for a lot of people. But if you've got a packed school or work schedule, you're heading into a stressful season, or you're just tired of talking about the same thing every week without much shifting — an intensive might be a better fit.

A therapy intensive is a focused, multi-hour session — or a short series of sessions over a few days — built around one goal instead of stretched across months. Instead of spending the first 15 minutes catching up and the last 10 winding down, we go straight to the root of what's keeping you or your teen stuck. Using EMDR, we're able to reprocess the anxious or negative thought patterns driving the struggle — not just talk around them.

Think of it this way: what might take 3–4 months of weekly sessions to work through can often be condensed into one or two extended sessions. That's not a gimmick — it's what happens when there's uninterrupted time to actually do the work.

INTENSIVES TEND TO BE A GOOD FIT WHEN:

→ Weekly sessions feel like they're moving too slowly, or progress keeps stalling.

→ School, sports, work, or a packed schedule makes a weekly slot hard to keep.

→ There's a specific memory, pattern, or belief that keeps surfacing no matter how much it's been talked through.

→ A big transition is coming up — starting college, a new job, a move — and there's a real window (like summer or a school break) to do focused work before it hits.

→ You want meaningful movement now, not in six months.

Every intensive is built around the person doing it — there's no one-size-fits-all package. During an initial consultation, we'll talk through what's going on, what "faster progress" would actually look like for you or your teen, and what kind of format makes the most sense. Intensives are a bigger upfront investment than a single session, and they're not covered by insurance — but for the right person, the accelerated relief and depth of progress make it worth it!
